About Us
Our heart is to provide play-based, child-lead, attachment-developmental based intervention that honours children for who they are. Our goal is for our clients to participate authentically and joyfully in their life with a sense of worthiness and belonging. We strive to lead with love and pursue excellence in everything we do. We hire staff who share this view and are excited to be a part of your child’s development. We make hiring decisions based on experience, education, intuitive skills, a desire to learn and play, and a neurodiverse affirming worldview.
Our Clinic History
2018
AYU Speech & Language Services started off conducting home and daycare/child care facility visits to service clients in Chetwynd & Dawson Creek. Services were also contracted to local school districts.
2019
First clinic space opened in Dawson Creek featuring one therapy room.
2020
The clinic relocated to a larger facility with more therapy rooms and toy storage in Pouce Coupe.
2021
The clinic relocated within Pouce Coupe to a larger facility with even more therapy rooms, offices, and larger toy storage room. A second clinic was opened in Fort St. John.
2022
A third clinic was opened in Surrey.
2023
Services began in Prince George, Tumbler Ridge, and Chetwynd.
